Sudan is a very, very flat country...

Visibility is terrible when the wind picks up speed... And this is not even a dust storm.

Large canals bring the water from the Nile rivers to various agricultural areas.

Typical Sudanese farming village. There are literally thousands like it.

Market day at one of the larger villages.

One of numerous mausoleums doting the countryside.

Crossing the Blue Nile

The Dinder River

Dinder base camp.

Home Sweet Home...!

The flight crew trailer.

Small but comfy... All anybody would ever want. A PC with an 24/7 Net connection, DStv and AirCon.

One of the seismic recording/monitoring stations.

An exploratory drill rig.

My noble steed for a couple of months, a Bell Long Ranger IV. A Bell 212 in the background.

Washing day.

The 212 showing off its muscles...

Sunset between our two generators.

Camp is being packed up. No trace will be left behind.
